Peak Trading Pressure Test
Black Friday, Christmas & Golden Quarter Strategy Review
Before peak tests the plan, have somebody outside it test the commercial thinking.
Peak Trading Pressure Test is a senior independent review for premium and luxury consumer businesses heading into Black Friday, Christmas and the Golden Quarter.
The service is designed for brands that already have a Q4 plan and want to identify commercial weakness while there is still time to do something about it.
Investment: £1,500
Final bookings: 13 November 2026.
A good November can conceal a poor decision
Peak periods create unusual pressure.
Revenue targets rise.
Paid media becomes more competitive.
Discounts become more tempting.
Internal teams have less time.
Customers behave differently.
And by the time the problems become visible in the trading numbers, many of the decisions are already locked.
A useful external review asks a different set of questions.
What type of customer are we acquiring?
What happens to margin once the offer, media and fulfilment economics are considered?
What does the CRM programme do after purchase?
Which pieces of the plan deserve more resource?
Which activities are being protected because too much work has already gone into them?
Peak Trading Pressure Test gives those questions a dedicated review before the busiest weeks begin.
What I examine
- Commercial coherence across the peak plan.
- Promotional and offer architecture.
- Acquisition versus retention.
- Customer quality.
- Margin exposure and brand risk.
- The role of CRM.
- Channel alignment.
- Customer journey.
- Retail and partnership activity where relevant.
- Budget prioritisation.
- Areas of duplicated or low-value activity.
- Execution risk.
What you submit
Up to five core documents:
- Q4 or peak strategy.
- Campaign calendar.
- Promotional plan.
- CRM or retention plan.
- Relevant high-level customer, trading or performance data.
If the business has a much larger library of documents, I will either identify the five most relevant or recommend a broader scope.

What is outside the scope

- Campaign-calendar production.
- CRM flow writing.
- Email copywriting.
- Media buying.
- Paid-media optimisation.
- Creative production.
- Financial forecasting.
- Implementation management.
- Ongoing messaging access.
If one of those requirements emerges from the review, it can be scoped separately.
Why the service closes
Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026.
This Intensive closes for new bookings after 13 November because the commercial value of reviewing a peak plan decreases once teams are too close to execution to use the findings.
Bookings may close earlier if the available Review Days are reserved.
This is operational scarcity rather than a permanent promotional device.

- Board-level reporting and budget governance
I have, and so that breadth informs how I now operate as a luxury brand strategy consultant and fractional CMO in the UK, bringing structure to growth across positioning, partnerships, revenue modelling and marketing performance infrastructure.

FAQs
Is this a Black Friday marketing audit?
It is a focused commercial review of an existing Black Friday, Christmas or Golden Quarter plan. It is broader than a channel audit and narrower than creating the entire strategy from the beginning.
Do you review paid media performance?
High-level investment logic and channel allocation can form part of the review. Detailed platform optimisation, media buying and campaign management are outside the scope.
Can you review our CRM plan?
Yes, at strategic level. The review can examine retention logic, customer journeys and post-purchase planning. Writing full CRM flows is a separate service.
Can agencies attend the working session?
Yes. Up to three senior participants may attend, which can include internal leadership and relevant agency partners.
What if we are already close to Black Friday?
Availability will determine whether there is sufficient time to complete a useful review. The service closes on 13 November.
If the peak plan is already built, this is the moment to try to break it.
Let’s build something exceptional
If you’re ready for thoughtful, commercially grounded strategy, I’d love to hear about your project.
